AKHG Takes Flight: Capturing Winter Adventures in Alaska
Bleach embarked on an exhilarating journey with Alaskan Hardgear (AKHG) to document authentic winter escapades in the brand's namesake state. The objective for AKHG’s FW24 seasonal campaign was to capture both photo and video content of their Fall/Winter assortment. This production showcased local athletes pushing the limits of AKHG's winter gear in Alaska's breathtaking backcountry.
The campaign centered around two thrilling narratives: backcountry skiing and splitboarding adventures close to home, and the unique Alaskan experience of flying to remote destinations. Bleach's team captured the raw essence of these experiences, from early morning gear preparations to heart-pounding descents through untouched snow.
In the first phase, our lenses followed local athletes as they ventured into nearby backcountry terrain. The imagery highlights AKHG's high-performance outerwear standing up to challenging conditions. Close-up shots reveal the gear's technical features in action, showcasing durable fabrics withstanding encounters with rugged terrain.
The second phase of the shoot took to the skies, documenting the uniquely Alaskan tradition of flying as a common form of transportation from one adventure to the next. Bleach's crew captured the entire journey, from loading gear into planes to touching down on remote glaciers. These images not only showcase AKHG's gear performing flawlessly in extreme conditions but also convey the sense of freedom and adventure.
This visually stunning campaign provides AKHG with a powerful narrative that reinforces their position as a go-to outfitter for those who push the boundaries of winter adventure.
