Ski and Snowboarding icons Chris Benchetler, Eric Jackson, and Curtis Ciszek joined Smartwool and Bleach Productions for an action-packed photoshoot deep in the powdery backcountry of Japan. The objective was to capture content for Smartwool’s seasonal campaigns. We were eager to capture the team riding fresh lines through the snow-covered mountains, putting Smartwool’s merino wool base layers and socks to the test.

Over several days, the group charged through thigh-deep Japan pow, their smooth style and control underscored the versatility and quality of Smartwool gear in even the harshest alpine environments. This photoshoot in the Hokkaido’s backcountry allowed us to highlight the natural benefits of merino wool, enabling passionate riders to focus on the ride rather than their gear.
